White Cupcakes

1 cup white sugar
1/2 cup butter, softened
2 eggs
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
1 1/2 cups flour
1 3/4 tsp baking powder
1/2 cup milk

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Line muffin pan with paper liners.  In a medium bowl, cream together the sugar and butter. Beat in the eggs then stir in the vanilla. Combine flour and baking powder, add to the butter mixture and mix well.  Stir in the milk until batter is smooth. Pour or spoon batter into the muffin cups and bake 20 to 25 minutes.  Cool
